Read the below e mail and you will understand why Boost Mobile is terrible and you should not go to them, they do not care about the customer!

I have been trying for days for someone to respond and help me! Why wont anyone help me? More than three weeks ago I called because my two month old phone died. I assured the people on the phone it is not the battery or charger as they both had voltage, I am a broadcast engineer I understand these things. A few days ago I got an e mail from boost saying I needed to try another battery and charger which I have done.

Issue one: dead phone two months old
Issue two I was told they would send me a new phone in 5 to 7 days. Since it was initially rejected, why did no one tell me? And why should I spend money on a new charger and battery for a phone you sold me that does not work? Its not my problem, its yours!
Issue three: in the email I got saying I had been rejected they need a phone number. I have NO PHONE I keep telling you that but no one gets it, I need a phone. I want my 200 dollars back for the phone so I can go to AT&T and get a phone.

Did ya notice that DVD Planet on Foothill is gone? And the new Taco Bell is open on Baseline? (Across the street from it’s former location) What did you notice around Rancho Cucamonga? rchotspots@gmail.com And the Blockbuster on Baseline is moving across the parking lot to make way for a new gas station coming in there. Also the Marble Creamery on Foothill is gone.

Where is the best coin operated car was in Rancho Cucamonga? Well, the only one I know of is on Baseline @ Carnelian. And its fine, I don’t even know of another in Rancho. If you are going to a paid service, I’ll go with Deer Creek. I use to use the one down by 4th and Haven but not so much the past few years.

I have noticed that Five Guys Burgers on Haven sure has been busy. Good for them. I’m not sure if it is really that big of a deal but I am not crazy about In & Out either. Five Guys has a big buz right now, let’s hope they stay in town. How is Sonic doing?

I am not the only one to say there just is no good “KFC” location anymore. The food is just awful. I thought maybe it was just the Baseline location, I was wrong. “El Pollo Locco” is much better. Expensive but much better.

I just noticed the other day “Anchor” is gone from Victoria Gardens. The area remains busy fortunately, it’s a good place to people watch if nothing else.

The north-west end fire station construction is coming along nicely. I assume this will reduce the calls for service for the Amethyst Street station.

Well folks after testing phones on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon & Sprint all over the city with extensive use of both voice and data, I pick Sprint!

Now I am using a Boost Mobile Black Berry who uses the Sprint network. And their top of the line service with un- limited voice, date, internet and text is $60.00 that;s unheard od and it worth every penny.

I noticed today that Starbucks @ Terra Vista Center (Foothill)has closed up shop. I asked at Barnes & Nobel if they knew the story to no avail.

The Petco on Baseline & Haven is closing up shop and having a close out sale.

The new clock tower @ Baseline & Miliken still ask the question- why? Oh and the clock isnt working yet.

Henry’s Market will become “Sprouts”

Henry's Farmers Market stores in the Inland region will become Sprouts Farmers Markets when the two grocery chains merge.

The companies announced this week they would combine to form a single company under the Sprouts name with 98 stores in four states, $1 billion in annual revenues and more than 7,000 employees.

Under the terms of the deal, all Henry's locations will convert to the Sprouts name. Henry's operates seven Inland stores in Hemet, Chino Hills, Corona, Rancho Cucamonga on Baseline & Milliken, La Quinta and Temecula. The changeover is expected to happen later this year or in 2012, pending regulatory approval of the merger

This sounds like it might be fun! There is a new Art & Wine Gallery opening at Towne Center 8800 Haven. The South West corner of Haven & Foothill. I happen to see the alcohol permit on the window. It is the same center that has “Active” A pretty cool place. Snow Boards, Skate Boards, Hip clothing some really nice watches. I spoke with a guy named Oscar, nice guy. AND they have Vans and some other nice kicks.

The oldest fence in Rancho Cucamonga up the hill on Hermosa off Wilson. This fence was carbon dated to back before dinosaurs. Known as the Etiwandalithiuc Period. It is very old! Made of stone and trees.

I happen to see a small Farmers Market today on Foothill just east of Rochester in the hotel parking lot.

Yesterday I stopped by a factory outlet store that has been on Haven @ Alta Loma in some form for many years. Is it me or was I just not impressed. Looked like a factory 99 cents store that charged to much for their stuff.

Thanks to Kathleen who gave us this tip, a Winco foods store coming to the Terra Vista Shopping Center. Apparently in the long since available Mervyns location. That part of the center is pretty dry and hopefully this will stimulate some growth in the area.

Open access WiFi a huge risk! Easy to fix.

Although the problem has existed for a long time, there is now an easy to use free program called Firesheep that makes it easy to log onto your computer, get into your accounts , passwords, make changes to your pages and it is scary easy!

The fix is easy, just ask the coffee shop or where ever to add a WPA password. It doesn’t matter if the hacker knows the password, it will still isolate the issue.

Please let your local shop owners know and ask them to make this simple fix.

Mels Diner, on 4th street across the streetr from The Mills has closed it doors. Too bad it was not open for very long. It also was never busy the times I went there, guess business was not very good. Location, location, location. Actually the location was OK but it was clumped into a shopping center that did not stand out. So the 50’s diner is no more in Rancho.

I happened upon a huge store at The Mils yesterday called Second Spin. They have a huge selection of new and used CD’s , DVD’s, Blue Ray’s and even vinyl. The size of the store is crazy big. I found tons of TV shows and Discovery Chanel shows I have been looking for.

OH and do you need some extra cash? They buy CD’s & DVD’s. And the people working at the store and very nice.

Google is planning to launch an experiment that it hopes will make Internet access better and faster for everyone. They plan to test ultra-high speed broadband networks in one or more trial locations across the country. Google’s networks will deliver Internet speeds more than 100 times faster than what most Americans have access to today, over 1 gigabit per second, fiber-to-the-home connections. Google plans to offer service at a competitive price to at least 50,000 and potentially up to 500,000 people.

Well folks our 2010 survey and actual “in field” test results are in and once again AT&T has by far the worst coverage based on city wide usage.

Second place for being the worst is Verizon.

Should I start a petition here on RC Hot Spots to see if we can inspire AT&T to add a new tower to our area? It’s probably a very expensive operation but we sure do need it.Your thoughts?

In a recently ad flyer Terra Vista said they had free WiFi Hot Spots so I decided to check it out today. The signal was marginal at best and I was only able to find a signal by Target and I drove the entire center. And to top it off, I was unable to make a connection. Panera Bread has a free WiFi in the same area and I can connect to it.

Rancho-Alta Loma-Etiwanda?

There has been a long standing feud between people who live in Alta Loma VS Rancho or Etiwanda. The city incorporated in 1977 and joined together but people still use the old names. Is it snobbery? And does the former Alta Loma start at Baseline or 19th?

I was always told and I'd agree that 19th seems the better fit, it is nicer above 19th.

When I moved into the area in 1997 I was told it was Alta Loma buy the guy I was renting a house from above Wilson but I soon figured it out. I worked at an Inland Empire Radio Station for five years and when ever anyone would say Alta Loma I’d tease them.

In some peoples defense the post office on Amethyst says Alta Loma CA.

Panda Buffet on Foothill in the Wal-Mart lot” Awful. The food all tastes the same and is low quality and over priced. The food at Hometown Buffet is much better! The people were very nice and service was great though. Oh and over priced.

Panera Bread: decent food and a nice vibe. Free Wi Fi good service

Buffalo Wings on Baseline @ Miliken by Henry’s Market: ROCKS! Great wings, a variety of sauces and good service. Tons of TV’s for all you sports fans and free WiFi. I dig it.

El Pollo Loco: On Foothill and the on Haven between and Town Center and Church in the same mall as my dentist. They now have BBQ chicken it’s very good!l

We all need to do our part to conserve water and not be foolish. But shouldn’t the city government also conserve water?

Here is a question, why do you keep approving new buildings and new homes when we are running out of resources and space! Quit being whores! I go through the city and see so many empty buildings, why not use them up first? There are tons of spaces available and I would hope the city would encourage or even create incentives to fill those sites up first! But no, it’s all about the money isn’t it! Got to make more money! How long has the old Circuit City location by Walmart been empty? Now we have a new Circuit City location empty. How about the CompUSA building on Day Creek, just to name a few what I consider to be prime locations.

If we want to save water and other resources lets use the one hundered or more empty locations first. Create incentives, expose perspective businesses to these locations before you just continue to build more and more with no regard for our dwindling resources.

That is just my uninformed opinion, what the heck do I know?

Folks, personally I hate cigarettes and I feel there is enough scientific data to show there may be dangers to second hand smoking. However I also hate the government trying to run my life. The City Of Rancho Cucamonga is looking into my public smoking restrictions. Well for my money, the best over all park is Heritage. With it's sweeping grass fields, walking trails, lots of open space, well maintianed, horse trails, bunny rabbits and a nice walking path with a decent up hill grade for a good workout, I love this park!

The largest park has to be Redhill, on Baseline.
